Dave Milliken has been playing guitar, singing and performing in the St. Louis area for more than 25 years, and has performed for countless conferences, retreats and events. Not only can Dave play some mean licks on the guitar, but he is also an experienced teacher and knows just what needs to be done to take his students to the next level. Dave loves all kinds of music, including jazz, blues, rock, metal, reggae, gospel, classical, christian and hip hop. Dave and his wife, Jen, live in St. Charles with their six children.
As soon as you walk into the Immersive Instruction Studio at DGI, you'll realize that boredom won't be an issue. Stage lighting. Personal headphone monitor control. High-quality effects processors and microphones. A 50" plasma screen. A stage platform that rumbles to simulate the bass vibrations in a live concert. All work together to immediately take Dave's students into the atmosphere of a live musical performance. But it's not just about the atmosphere. Dave has also developed a number of multimedia experiences to engage students interactively. You'll be playing along live with a band of recorded musicians, checking out DVD concert clips and looking at study aids up on the big screen. On top of that, you'll have other students playing with you for additional encouragement and fun (don't worry - no one can hear you except for you and the instructor).
Whether you picked up a guitar for the first time last week or have been playing for years, you'll fit right in at DGI. Dave limits his class sizes to just a handful of students, and you'll be matched up with people who are at a similar level as you. Before your 13-week session begins, Dave will talk to you about your current skill level, and set some goals for your development. From there he will place you into a learning plan that puts you on track to meet them.
